Having been born in the wee hours of All Saint’s Day, I had increasingly hedonistic hallowed birthday bashes for the first 40 years of my life. Since hitting the road, Halloween in our RV has been rather calm. This year was different.
For starters, we had a blast boondocking behind Bally’s for a week of fun on the Las Vegas strip with favorite NüRVer friends. The best part of that was the price—FREE! Why dry camp in a parking lot for a week?
Why, for the Zombie Walk of course…
After a few more days of finding bargains on the strip, then came Halloween on Fremont Street. Pictures, as they say, speak louder than words…
The highlight of Halloween this year, had to be the people-watching. And there’s no better place than Vegas, with its fair share of freaks—from the scantily clad to the downright creepy…
There were Art Cars…
And pyrotechnics…
Lots of homies who liked my get-up…
And Dancetronauts, on my!
Speaking of dancing, we enjoyed live music from Motown and classic rock to trip hop and the Time Warp. There were foot-tall Mai Tais, and there was of course my beautiful bride…
And speaking of blushing brides, there was even one to be…
With a rather eager looking groom…
It was an honor and true pleasure to share my birthday with more good friends who got married outside in front of Ceasers Palace.
A fun time was indeed had by all. For all the times I’ve said I would never return to Vegas after working too many trade shows there in my previous life, I think we may just need to make a tradition of heading back for the Zombie Walk every year to do it up right, with fellow NüRVers. Who’s in?
Hey Jim and Rene,
I know I have been out of touch for a while. Been busting my but on the bus. Glad you had a fun birthday. I have never been to Las Vegas, definitely a trip I want to make.
Rene, you need to try the Melaleuca whitening toothpaste. 🙂
Bhahahahaha! Good one!
