D’oh! We forgot to announce that Jim and Rene @LiveWorkDream now host the new and improved RV LIFE Podcast. Taking the wheel with Episode #147 we’re joined by an incredible team of co-hosts, now covering all aspects of RV living with a clear mission: To make RVing simple, one episode at a time.

Living and Working the RV LIFE

Rene said, “You owe the blog a post.” Yeah, I know it’s been a while since I’ve shared anything about our own adventures. Okay, a long while… The Work part has been taking precedence lately here at Live Work Dream. And lately a lot of that work for me involves hosting and producing the RV LIFE Podcast. Thankfully, I’ve got an amazing cohort, co-host, and conductor coordinating all the complicated details I don’t care for. Rene really makes the show happen. She finds the best guests and gets them scheduled. Our team produces their own interviews. And together we pull it all together.

Unlike the original iteration of the show, each episode now covers all aspects of RV living. In an NPR-style news format, Rene and I introduce segments covering RV Travel, The RV Entrepreneur profiles, and RV Industry News while hosting our own RV Lifestyle segments. With eight episodes already in the rear view mirror and many more on the horizon, we’ve found our groove and are pleased with the results.

According to download numbers on the rise, we must be doing something right. The show just celebrated our 250,000 Downloads milestone and our listener base continues to climb. But it’s not all about the numbers. Honestly, RV LIFE does not even monetize the show. And, that’s one of the things I like most about the new format. The show had become crowded with sponsor spots. Now it’s all about the content. Have a listen for yourself and let us know what you think!

New RV LIFE Podcast Is Team Effort

In no way am I taking full credit for the new RV LIFE podcast or where it’s headed. I couldn’t do this without Rene and our co-hosts. Long-time RV industry experts John and Bob have joined us from The Camper Report. Together they provide interesting travel stories and insight behind the scenes with what’s going on at manufacturers and campgrounds.

I’m honored that Rose and Glynn decided to continue providing profiles of amazing RV Entrepreneurs making a living on the road. And I’m still waiting for listeners to chime in with their own tips and stories. We’ve made it super simple to share your story for our so-far empty Insight segment.

Evolution of the RV LIFE Podcast

RV LIFE first recruited me to host The RV Entrepreneur podcast in 2023. Before long I was producing that show and talks began about merging the two shows. I had the honor of announcing the evolution of the RV LIFE Podcast with my first episode of the new combined show. During a short hiatus, we refined the format and worked with the team to dial in our presentation. Now listeners can expect the familiar sequence of segments with voice they know and can trust.

No AI Slop Here

Well, maybe just a little. Just for fun. In the interest of full disclosure, I do utilize Artificial Intelligence to more quickly and efficiently craft scripts and meta content for the podcast episodes. But in this age of exponential AI growth and automated generation of misleading media, you won’t find any slop on the RV LIFE Podcast. If you haven’t heard what some of the engines are capable of creating…well, let’s just say you may have already, and not know it. But everything you from RV LIFE is 100% real, from real people.

So here is some of that slop, which Rene won’t like me sharing. I’m sure you’ve witnessed the craze around folks generating caricature drawings of themselves based upon their profile. Everyone’s doing it, so I thought I’d give it a try. I wasn’t thrilled with the result. And, Rene hates it.

The scene is right but this is way too photo-realistic for me. I wanted more of the cartoon results I’d been seeing on LinkedIn and the Faceborg. And, I actually had to direct the bot with far too many prompts than I care to admit. Finally, I combined parts of different images myself. Just look at this slop from my first prompt.

For some reason, the bot insisted on including two of me. And what’s with those disappearing glasses? Suffice it to say, I didn’t share as RV LIFE Podcast as originally planned. And I didn’t bill for my time slapping the bot around. However, I must admit, the results for John and Bob were quite good on the first try.
